Controllable Devices: Max MSP and Distributed Systems
A session exploring Max MSP, RNBO, and node.script for building distributed audio systems and network-based architectures. Drawing from his latest performances and installations, Lorenzo will show how Max can move beyond a local patch, integrating the web, real-time data, and connected devices within a unified ecosystem.
Lorenzo Ballerini is a sound and new media artist, researcher, and lecturer in Electroacoustics at the Conservatory A. Scontrino in Trapani. He collaborates with the Conservatory Santa Cecilia in Rome within the EAR – WP3 project, contributing to the development of Kobi, an artificial intelligence ecosystem for artistic research. He has collaborated with artists and composers including Christine Meisner, Michele Marasco, Roberto Fabbriciani, and Tiziano Manca. He has presented his work in festivals such as ADE Festival, Berlin Biennale, Bright Festival, Fabbrica Europa, Gaida Festival, ICSC, MA/IN Festival, SMC, Tempo Reale Festival, and WAC - IRCAM. His practice combines physical and digital elements in transmedial installations and performances.
